MARLENE WAGNER - PRESIDENT
MARLENE WAGNER, President of the Board of Education, began her term in 2000. She has lived in the Manchester community with her husband, Bill, for 21 years. Her daughter Lara is a 2007 graduate of Manchester High School and daughter Sarah graduated in 2010. Son, Scott, 14, is currently a sophomore.
Wagner holds a bachelor's degree from Grinnell College in Iowa, where she was a biological science major. She is active in the high school Parent Advisory Group as is the school board's liaison with the Manchester Community Schools Foundation.
Wagner serves on the district's Curriculum Council as well as the School Improvement, At-Risk and Technology committees. She was elected to another four-year term in May 2008.

RON ELLISON - VICE-PRESIDENT
RON ELLISON, Vice-President of the Manchester Community Schools' Board of Education, is in his fourth term on the Board. A resident of the Manchester area for more than 25 years, Ellison lives in the Village of Manchester; his son David is a 2002 graduate of Manchester High School and daughter Lindsay is a 2005 graduate of the high school.
Ellison holds a bachelor's degree in business and marketing from Central Michigan University, where he graduated in 1976. He is the president of American Title Company in Jackson and an active member of the Manchester Civic Club. He is currently chairman of the Economic Development Corporation for Jackson County.

VICKI MILLER - SECRETARY
VICKI MILLER was elected to the Board in 2002 and re-elected in 2006 and 2010. She has completed her seventh term as Secretary. Miller works in book manufacturing as a cover artist, currently working at Thomson-Shore in Dexter.
She lives in Freedom Township with her husband Phil. The couple has three children, Emily, Jonathan and Jeffery, all graduates of Manchester High School. Miller worked with the Citizens for Education and received a Volunteer Service Award from the Community Resource Center for that involvement. She also assisted in writing a mission statement for Manchester Community Schools.
In addition, Miller is a board member of the Community Resource Center and is a member of the Manchester Athletic Boosters. She donates her time to create all the advertising the Boosters do for one of their largest fund raisers.

LYNDON UPHAUS - TREASURER
LYNDON UPHAUS, School Board Treasurer, was re-elected to the Board in November 2011. A lifelong resident of Manchester, he is a 1969 graduate of Manchester High School and graduated from Michigan State University.
Uphaus is self-employed as a farmer and lives in Freedom Township with his wife, Ann Iott-Uphaus, and their daughters, Sarah, 23, and Katy, 21.
Uphaus served as a township trustee and a member of the Freedom Township Planning Commission for 10 years. He served as a director of GreenStone Farm Credit Services and is treasurer of Great Lakes Ethanol.
He is a member of Sharon United Methodist Church and the president of the Rowe's Corner Cemetery Association.

CHRIS FEGAN - TRUSTEE
CHRIS FEGAN was re-elected to the board in November 2011. Fegan is a radiation therapist at the St. John-Providence Health System, a satellite branch of the University of Michigan.
She is a member of the Community Advisory Council for the Chelsea Community Hospital Wellness Foundation, and an active member on the Wellness Coalition in Manchester. She is a trustee for the Manchester Area Friends and past president of the Klager Elementary Parent-Teacher-Organization. Chris was the previous owner of Village Gifts, past president of the Manchester Area Chamber of Commerce, and the Downtown Development Authority.
She and her husband, Todd, have lived in Manchester for 14 years, and have two daughters, 16-year-old Taylor and 14-year-old Rachel.

DARA PSAROUTHAKIS - TRUSTEE
DARAPAROUTHAKIS , Trustee, was elected to the Board in May 2009.Her term began in July 2009.
Dara obtained a bachelors degree in psychology and a master's degree in experimental psychology from the University of Toledo. She obtained an educational specialist degree and a Ph. D. from Michigan State University. Dr. Psarouthakis is a licensed psychologist and currently is the senior psychologist for the 30th Judicial Ingham County Family Court.
She and her husband have lived in Sharon Township with their two children for 12 years.

SHERYL PUROL - TRUSTEE
SHERYL PUROL was re-elected as a Trustee to the school board in November 2012 and her term continues through December 2016. Sheryl and her husband, Mark, reside in Freedom Township. Her son, Jamie Hall graduated from Manchester High School and the University of Michigan.
Purol holds a bachelor's degree in business from Eastern Michigan University and master's degree in education from Marygrove College. Purol served for 29 years as an accounting/business technology teacher at MHS and has taught Manchester's advanced business technology and accounting classes through the South and West Washtenaw Consortium. She has been a business instructor at Washtenaw Community College, LaVista Continuation High School, and Ann Arbor Pioneer High School.
In addition to serving as Secretary/Treasurer of the Washtenaw County School Board Association in 2009-10, Purol has previously served as the treasurer of the Manchester Education Association, a class advisor, National Honor Society advisor, and Dutch Den advisor in addition to being on the Technology Committee, Curriculum Committee, School Improvement Committee, Band Boosters, Citizens for Education, Facilities Committee, and has participated in the Washtenaw County 4-H program.
